Class leading insurance for shooting events

Not since foot and mouth disease in 2001 has there been such a threat to game shooting, an activity enjoyed by many thousands of people across the UK.  Estimates suggest that around 500,000 days of shooting, which provide vital support to rural communities and jobs and do so much for the management of our countryside, are booked to take place in the UK in the coming season.

Shoot Protect provides a much needed product to cover either teams of guns or estates from the financial risk associated with shoot cancellation following an outbreak of Avian Influenza (AI).

Many of these could be seriously at risk following outbreaks of AI for, whilst a shoot itself may pose little risk in terms of biosecurity, the spread of AI by migratory birds has been shown to effect operations as diverse as bird rearing units and 'back yard' chicken flocks and the resultant precautionary measures imposed to prevent the spread of the disease would result in the compulsory cancellation of many shoot days.

Some shoots could find themselves closed for much of the shooting season with no means to recompense those teams of guns who have paid large sums of money in the pursuit of their sport.
